    eBay Alert: Shill Bidder Caught

I was watching this listing when I noticed something unusual:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290562905599&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Check out the bidder with 38 feedback. I was watching this and noticed the bid jump from under $10 to over $32...few seconds later it was down to $26. The guy with 38 feedback wanted to jack up his buddy's item but accidentally became the high bidder. He then retracted and bid again to jack up the other guy's proxy bid while still keeping him the high bidder. Please report this crap to eBay!

I wanted to bid on this one, but now I'm just frustrated.

recently I have put bids in on ebay and noticed the prices jumping quickly, i have checked the bidder history some have 100% bidding with that seller with 3+ retractions. when i see that I retract my bid. only had to do it twice.

Ebay needs to remove the retraction option. If someone enters an incorrect amount and confirms it that is their problem. Shill bidding is hurting the honest people because if they have regular customers they appear to be shilling when they aren't. I have customers with high percentage of bids with me that arent shilling.

I have seen some suspect behaviour too in the last month. For example, I bought two cards from the same seller. I bid early and guess what, I won both cards, but I paid only 1 cent less than my bid on BOTH items. Strange... Since it was pretty cheap stuff (less than 10 $ for each card), I did not fight. And I am not that good at looking at bidding history and seeing shilling. But I learn from that and I don't bid early as often I used too.
    I collect the following:
    - Vintage (Stars and RC)
    - 2010-11 ITG Decades (Auto, GU, bases)
    - Stars from the 1980s (in modern sets)
    - Montreal Canadians Legends (bases, inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)
    - Montreal Canadiens actual players (inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)

i agree but if a person is 100% bidding with one seller and has 3+ retract bids and only has 20-30 feedback that worries me.
