Many of life’s most important lessons are learned as a result of major failures. It’s true for individuals and also for hockey teams. The most painful setbacks may help lead to great success — having given players an understanding of how to do things better.

“With any tough time, there are always positives you can take out of them,” Bruins [team stats] forward Brad Marchand said. “Any time a team makes a mistake you want to learn from it, so you don’t have to go through the same thing yourself.”
