I could not have scripted a better first game. I was very happy with that outcome. Can't say I'm shocked the Bruins tried to goon it up at the end sending Horton & Lucic after noted pugilists Hedman & Moore.

Im sorry but no team that makes it to the Conference finals is a "pretender". If they lost in the first round yeah sure, if they lost in the second round ok maybe Ill give it to you, but to be in the Conference finals...there is no pretender about them.

And Boston just found that out tonight.

I was attempting to cut down the Lightning, I just get the feeling that they're a pretender. I don't see either Boston or Tampa winning it all so it doesn't really matter.

I remain completely baffled at how terrible the Bruins are on the power play. 2-for-41 in the playoffs? Tampa is 13 for 50. Boston could score on each of its next nine man advantages and STILL not be level with the Lightning. Insane.

Agreed. I kept trying to will my television to show me some hockey last night. I had to settle for How I Met Your Mother reruns. Solid show, but no hip-checking.
