    Malkin cup rookie

Is a $1,000 a good price for a malkin cup rookie/99? (2 colors). Please give me your thoughts. Thanks.

I think so. If he goes back to his regular form, the card can go up again.

    over paying IMO
The card will go down this summer. He had a terrible season.
I would look to pay around $600 this summer for one

Thanks for your advice. I will wait for the summer. Do you really think it will fall to $600?

As much as I love Malkin as a player, he simply hasn't been the dominant Conn Smythe version for 2 years now. The people selling his stuff either need to realize that or keep his stuff and hope he regains his form.

If people selling his stuff bought it during 08-09, then I don't blame them for trying to get back as much money as they can, but don't overpay for a card in hopes that Malkin explodes again.

That being said, are you buying for a PC and holding it or buying it for value to sell later on? That affects your decision as well.

That's true as well. I am trying to collect the 06-07 cup /99 set. Just need the Malkin and the Staal. So I am not sure.

    Hey

Sorry for the boring chat this morning

Anyways, I think that its a decent price for $1000, but yeah, I think it'll go cheaper in the summer...don't think it'll go down to $600 though, but I think it'll fall down to about $800.

    Cheers,
    Andrew
