Emerald Masked Men Redemption Program
Collectors of the 2010-11 Between The Pipes are well aware of the error that was made on the back of the Emerald Masked Men cards. The Emerald Version of the Masked Men Cards was announced on the In The Game website as out of 340 of each card; however, 1/1 was printed on the back of each and every Emerald Masked Men card in error.
Even though there is nothing that we can do about this error except apologize, we want to give collectors an option to make their Emerald Masked Men cards more valuable.
To accomplish this we have created the Emerald Masked Men Redemption Program. We had two choices for this program; redeem a player's Emerald Mask Men cards for a Redemption Card of that player or redeem any Emerald Mask Men cards for a random redemption card ( a program similar to the He Shoots He Saves Program). We decided to poll collectors at the Spring Expo to determine which way to go but collectors were split down the middle and no clear-cut suggestion could be formed.
Then one collector breaking Between The Pipes at our booth suggested to Dr. Price that we should try and do both, that is the suggestion we are going with.
So here is the Emerald Masked Men Redemption Program.
Program One:
Send in 17 Emerald Mask Men Cards for any individual player listed below and receive a Masked Men Game-Used Memorabilia card numbered to ten of the player you have redeemed.

There was never supposed to be any 1/1s in the Masked Men insert set, none were produced. We learned of the error the day before the product's release. We immediately sent out a Newsletter, posted the information on our website, Dr. Price blogged the information, we went on all the hockey forums, Beckett and sent emails out to all our direct dealers and distributors so that collectors were informed of the error as soon as possible.
Again, we realize that this program does not make up for the error but we wanted to give collectors other options for their Emerald Masked Men Cards.
All the information on the program will be outlined on the 2010-11 Between The Pipes Product Page under a link entitled Emerald Masked Men Redemption Program. This Emerald Masked Men Redemption Program will expire on April 30, 2012.Card Supplies

I think it means, you need 17 from the list below. Not 17 of the same card.

That depends on whether you want to do the first or second program.
If you do program 1, you would send in 17 of the same player and get a GU card of that player.
If you do program 2, you would send in any 17 and get a random GU card of one of the players on the second list.

yeah...i understand where tehy are coming from though...you can't simply just have a 1 for 1 redemption program...it helps people that A) Bought a case and B) were trying to collect the set, thinking they were getting very rare cards...i don't think its a very bad program...like i said...they can't do a one-for-one redemption program thats worthwhile to the collector..but my opinion may be bias as i didn't bust any BTP yet this year
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

i agree with nuqua, this program isn't good unless you already do have 17 of these cards sitting around. And if you do have 17 of these sitting around you probably already have or are close to the 200 he shoots he saves inserts that are needed for their other redemption program. I understand that they can't replace each card for a 1/1 nor do I expect them to at all (that would be out of control). But at the same time its not our mistake and the average btp buyer (correct me if im wrong here) i doubt will have more than 1-3 of these cards. Would be nice to get something extra (like i said not expecting high end at all in return) but something for even just pulling 1 or 2 of these cards. Thats just my two cents, nothing more.

Not impress by the redemption program. Who will gather 17 of the same player. If you do and have to pay for them, imagine how much a jersey produce to 10 to repair a error will cost you. I am not going to run to buy more card and start a bidding war to get 17 cards...
I rather keep my money and buy some other carey price jersey at pr/10, the number (17) is way to high.Last edited by CoolHandLuke; 05-10-2011 at 06:56 PM.

I don't think that it's a coincidence that it's 5% of the current print run on the Emerald cards.
Think of it as "trading up" - you wouldn't trade an insert /340 for a GU /10, so you gotta give a little more.
