    what does everyone think,

    if crosby were (god forbid) to never play another hockey game again....

    has he earned a spot in the hall of fame?

    While i agree that this should not be the only qualifier, the list of players you speak(won stanley cup and Olympic gold) of would not be that big and would contain alot of players that already deserve to be there

    no, do you know how many hofers there would be if they won a cup and gold medal?

    If Crosby were to not return, Hockey won't fold.

    I'll take the integrity of the game over any team, or any player, any day of the week.

    That being said, I don't wish any ill will on any player caused by injury, but the game will still move forward, with or without Crosby.

    I am one of those that believe Crosby will end up retiring next year. So I don't think this will be a hypothetical question for long. And I would have to say no chance he makes it into the Hall if that is the case.
