    PSA or BGS?

    Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a bunch of cards graded but can't decide which company to go through. I've done BGS in the past but have always felt a certain appeal towards PSA. Just wondering what my fellow SCF members prefer, and why?

    Thanks!
    James

From what I have heard over the years is that BGS is better for newer products and PSA is better for vintage.

I know often times on here people will team up and send in one massive order, I'm just wondering:

1.) How much money does that save, and how?

2.) Also, is there ever any foul play? i.e. has anyone ever gotten their cards stolen by other members in the group?

3.) Would you suggest doing it in a group, or personal order?

    Thanks guys!
I've got 10-30 cards I'd like to get graded, just trying to find a nice way to save some money.

Are you looking to keep the cards or sell them? And if you are going to sell what years are they from and what type of cards are they?

I don't like how bulky BGS's cases are so I've always bought ones that were PSA

Don't give your money to BGS!!!! Think about this: How can a company that publishes a price guide and takes free product from card companies be objective about grading? Lots of ethics issues there. Go with PSA.

I've always had that thought in the back of my head...

I got a 2000 E-X Tom Brady RC /1500 graded by BGS and it came back 10, 10, 9.5, 8.5. The card was perfect yet somehow they tossed on an 8.5 to keep the grade 9.0 instead of a 9.5 or 10. I thought it was very fishy, but it makes sense that perhaps there was some alternative motives there...

Agreed, but both do a pretty good job.
