Pay-Pal Question update i hate Pay-Pal
Hi all, I had a claim put against me today, Buyer is from Canada and spent 580.00 on some gold scrap i had i shipped out same day April 14th and buyer still has not got it, the buyer has email me and i keep saying that it is tired up with customs, i got proof of shipping with custom forms and reciept from PO both are dated and time stamped, the PO wed site show they got the item and in in transet, i gave all the info to Pay-Pal and waiting for a anwser, do i have a leg to stand on or am i going to lose.
Update: Pay-Pal took 3 hours to say i had to pay, what the ( )
Funny thing is it will show up on ebay sooner or later i check almost every night, this hole thing has put a bad taste in my mouth about shipping to Canada, not sure what am going to do,, thinking about US bidders only, i know it not fair but loosing over 500. just hurts.Last edited by Bluedogcards; 05-23-2011 at 02:01 AM.

Well yes and no....Having the Receipt is always a good thing, But not getting a Registered shipment/Insurance may put you in the gutter, If you sold nearly $600 in valuable's why would you not spend the little extra to protect yourself...Especially when sending over sea's or were Custom Forms are Required...?

Well if you submitted all the proof that the item has been shipped, then yeah. In my mind you do. But he makes a good point on the insurance factor...

I believe Even though you Say your not responsible if its lost/damaged, In all reality eBay policy states that you are fully responsible if the package does not arrive or is damaged...Might want to check into that.

Good luck man, I got burner shipped overseas and won't do it anymore. Someone did the same to me and I had the customs form and receipt like you and Paypal told me unless I had tracking info on it, I was basically screwed. I ended up losing the item and my money. I HATE eBay/Paypal's ways, they're messed up!

You won't get burned if it shows up after a decision is made in his favor. Keep the paper work and track it if it shows that it did arrive you file your claim. You will get your money. Been there done that
