Outside of that 20-lap duel between Carl and JJ for the lead, the race was incredibly boring.

exactly-and if the pit strategy had not been messed with I think the race for the win between the 33, 99, and 48 would have been spectacular (we missed most of when it got good because Fox was in commercial those 4 laps lol). The nationwide and truck races were both better imo

Has nothing to do with where Jimmie/Carl/Clint finished....THE RACE ITSELF WAS BORING. Nothing exciting happened outside of that 20-lap duel between the 48/99. Period.

Hell, I was at the Fall Chase race at Dover last year and that was boring as hell also...and JJ won that one. The last two Dover races have been extremely boring.

part of the reason the stands were pretty empty there I am thinking-bad weather forecast plus boring racing plus crazy hotel prices=only 80,000 people. They would rather go to some other race imo. and yeah I was there last Spring and it was a snoozer as well-the tire they use there now makes it really hard for any passing to occur.

Thanks to Mdclapps and Bouncer for helping :)

Also, that race was a little boring, but had alot of good racing, and a very good finish!
I won the bet with my dad, and I did it with the guy who started 43rd
Good job to Kyle on having such a ROCKET!!

Good to hear your ISP is finally working.

I was at this race and it was a complete waste of time. The only good thing about the race is I had a DD to drive me home afterwards. I love east coast tracks that allow you to bring in your own beer – I wish Vegas would do the same. Even Kyle Busch mentioned on the sprint vision how bad the track was and you couldn’t pass anyone. My wife has the scanner and pretty much the entire scanner was even dead the race. I’ve enjoyed watching the Nationwide races much more this year than the Cup races. After seeing how bad the last several Dover races have been – we decide to save our money and do something different in Sept.

I was surprised at how empty the stands were – I would say the track was only at 35-40% capacity. It was a 50% chance of rain on race day and by 9:30 you could tell it was going to be a nice day. People blame the economy, but the Baltimore/DC area hasn’t seen the recession as much as the rest of the country, so I don’t buy that excuse. If Dover wants to fill the seats, they will have to drop ticket prices a lot. After the last couple of Dover races I don’t feel like I’m getting a good race for my money.
