yeah for real, these 3rd party grading companies annoy the life out of me. BCCG is obviously trying to fool people into thinking theyre beckett sponsored or BGS, and then you have PSVA who try to fool people into thinking they're PSA. if i were you, i'd take a hacksaw and saw enough of the corner off to get a flathead screwdriver in and then pop the case off and send your card to a real company. BCCG, GEM, GAI, SGC, PSVA all of those really don't mean squat to me.. i think they hurt the card more than help it. anytime i see a card graded by these kinds of companies i steer away unless i get a good deal, like you did here. then you get a sweet card and you can just take it out of the case!

BCCG is Beckett. It's Beckett Collector's Club Grading. From what i've come to understand, when you subscribe to Beckett and you get those free grades, that's what they come back as. When you actually pay for them, you get BGS.
The seller may have put BGS in the title just to drum up some views and hoping people don't know the difference. Like my wife for example who traded about 75 bv worth of cards for a BCCG 10 Fleer Tradition Eli/Rivers/Ben RC worth 40 while I was in the hospital.
I think you got a good deal though.
BEWARE THE BCCG!!!

oh it is? I didn't know that. Still, BCCG is something I would rather not dabble in. I'll stick to PSA and BGS.

I don't judge people, however, look at the # of Neutral, and Negatives. He oversells his product. The BCCG is a lower and cheaper way to grade cards. They average a few points below BGS and PSA. I wish BCCG would go away. Just my opinion.

Yeah, with a BCCG 10 equalling a BGS 9, it's a little too bad for me to deal with.
I was never a big fan of PSA because of having to pay a membership fee (how much crap is that?) until I saw how good they work with Vintage cards. Now I swear by them.
Pre-1980 = PSA
Post-1980 = BGS
The rest are just politics (until C.A.'s Authentics gets off the ground) :icon_wink

I agree with Litas. Membership fee does suck HORRIBLY, it's $99/yr, THEN you have to pay the fee of the card which is like $25+ depending on the card.

when i called and inquired they didnt mention 4 free grades, but then again you may be right.. might need to check into that. and i agree with you on standards for grading, if i see something off centered that automatically will merit you nothing higher than an 8 from what i've seen, but the vintage stuff is worth grading because i've seen like a 58 mantle in good shape go for a couple hundred and then like a psa 6 or so go for about double that so its kind of tricky.. im not a big fan of letting my cards go through snail mail either, even if it is insured.. not even registered mail could compensate me if i lost say a montana rookie or a nolan ryan rookie
