Trading GU/Autos for non GU/Autos by BV

I've noticed that some people do not like to trade GU & Autos(or some other high valued card) for other non-GU & Auto cards at a 1/1BV.

I understand that and agree with that sentiment. I don't like to "break up" the value of a rarer card for a bunch of less rare/desirable cards. Is there a generally accepted ratio to trade at for these types of trades? Or is this just a matter of individual preference? Any thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

It's pretty much going to be on a case-by-case basis. Some people have no issues at all trading an auto card for an insert card so long as the values are relatively even. Sometimes you may have to add on a few extra bucks worth of trade/sale value. Different strokes for different folks.
