Need a Little Help - TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

I was searching for signed stuff on EBay. I know, Ebay can be a risk, but I don't mind paying an affordable price (cheap) for a graph if I think the person genuinely means that it is authentic.

So...I found these. I like the Heritage and Chicle and Goudy stuff...this guy has a bunch for prices b/w 7 dollars and 16. Every signature looks clean, crisp and perfect. The seller has a feedback of 707 and is a perfect 100%

Oh. And they are all stars. Jason Bay...7 dollars. Mike Piazza...10. Prince Fielder...10. Tulo...16. Chase Utley...10. Tom Glavine...10. The list goes on...

He would spend quadruple the amount at signings for these mostly perfect signatures. They seem "too good" for in-person unless he got these folks when they were completely alone and not busy...

What do you guys think? I was thinking about buying 1...that's it, just to check it out, but would like this forum's expert opinions. The free shipping ain't too shabby either...which makes them more tempting.

Update: I just sent the seller an email expressing my interest but my hesitancy until he can answer my questions as to how he obtained them.

The auction never states the card was signed by the player. It just states it was hand signed. I would stay far, far away

This is what gives him away to me. It NEVER works out that a star like Chris Paul signs in the only light spot on a photo using blue. He has 100% feedback because only idiots are buying from him and just believe it is real.

that doesnt mean anything. he couldve gotten whitesheets done and found a pic to go over it. ive done that alot recently and its amazing how it turned out.i agree its hard to believe who's auctions and real and fake (which is why i get mine all IP),but u cant look at one that looks real and judge it right away base it on price or anything else.If he spent .50 on a white sheet, and got it signed free than he doesnt have to charge that much to make a profit

Just by looking at a few of the other things he has for sale (like the Greg Jennings mini, Emmitt photo) I would stay away. Too many things that look a little sketchy to me...

Thanks for the feedback everybody...that's what makes this forum so great! I really appreciate it. I still had his 'store' page up on my other tab, and before I moved on I noticed this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ROGER-CLEMENS-AS...item256206e967

    1. Even if he's spending .50 and getting a free 'graph, who would see a Clemens auto for 16 bucks? If you know you can't get Clemens money for it, why 16? Why not make it still reasonable for Clemens and charge like oh, I dunno 30 or 40?

    2. I have been around these boards for almost 2 years now, but I am still relatively green in the hobby. I've never seen a Clemens "signed anything" unless it came from one of those high end dealers...

    3. Take a look at the picture in the link. The start of the signature seems waaaaay too perfect b/c it looks like the signature goes "off card" and comes right back on without missing a beat. No shake, no inconsistency...too perfect.

Yeah. I won't be buying from him. Thanks again all.

i looked through some of his stuff and saw he had nolan ryan in a rangers, astros and angels uniform.from what ive heard ryan's autograph is hard to come by but i cant judge him cuz u never know.

and yes,if i thought that i wouldnt get more than $16 for a roger clemens autograph id just keep it.its still a cool graph to have

Those are all absolutely fake. If you do a little research on each player's signature, you'll see that every single autograph he has is fake. There isn't one authentic autograph in his store. Stay away.

I almost want to buy from him and leave feedback saying it was a clear fake just to stop others from falling into this guy's trap.

I say it all the time- don't trust anything for autos except your own hands and your own SASEs. Failing that, MAYBE only trust a company like topps or upper deck.

Honestly, never buy anything from eBay that isn't certified (by UD, Topps, Panini, etc., not a "COA company" of ANY kind). Plus why add it to your collection and always have to deal with that thought of "I don't know if it's real." You'll regret it if you do.. Stay away.
