The Cleveland Cavaliers just landed Irving with the #1 overall pick. I guess The Cavaliers will win the NBA championship before Lebron James ever does. I am definantly putting $100 on a futures bet for the Cavs to win the title next year if there isn't a lockout.

Cleveland will not win the title next year. First of all, if they take Irving, they are making a huge mistake in my opinion. He played 11 games last year, his freshman year. I would take Walker or Knight before Irving. For their fourth pick, they need to take either Kanter or Jimmer. Then they will be on the path to rebuild. I hope Knight goes to the Kings though. They are projecting Houston to take one of the Morris twins, mistake in my own opinion. They just got Patterson last year, and he did really well when he got playing time, a double double almost every time. They need to take Liggins, his defence ability will really help Houston out a lot. I know I keep referencing UK, but come on, some of these picks are ridiculous. http://www.nbadraft.net/2011mock_draft

Personally, i would take Williams with the #1 pick and then get either Walker or Knight with the 4th to develop behind BD. Either way, It's a great day for Cavaliers fans!!!

I agree with it being a great day for Cav fans, but Irving just doesn't have that extra experience Walker or Knight does for the point position. Walker would be more ready to start thank Knight though. And another big man to either be out with Davis or to back him up.

As did Wall, but they played more than 11 games in that one year.

I want Williams and Knight too actually. Something about Kyrie I don't really like, don't know what it is. I just hope Chris Grant has done his homework on all these guys and will do what is best for the team instead of just doing what everyone wants/expects him to do.

And yet if High Schoolers were allowed to go Pro no one would be saying anything about the Cavs drafting Anthony Davis #1 who has played 0 college games - which is who they would take as Davis will probably be the #1 pick next year.
11 games is irrelevant unless it was a serious (which it wasn't) injury that could change his pro career.

After watching the interviews with Irving and Williams last night, I was pretty impressed with Irving and not impressed at all with Williams. I know its just an interview, but Kyrie Irving seemed much more professional and impressive than Williams. Not that its anything to base a decision on, just something I noticed...
