    Hi Y'all..

Hey everyone, I have recently discovered this website, and wanted to say hi.

My name is Billy. I am 28, living in MN. Have been collecting cards since I was 10. However, because of school and a couple of tours overseas, I have stopped collecting until now :) Looking to get back into the game.

So much have changed since I stopped collecting. I have been out of touch with this hobby for a while, and I am looking forward to learn from you. Most of my collections has been sold before being deployed. Guess it's back to square one!

I mainly collect AU's, Sets, RC's and some individual players. My main interest is Basketball. I am currently working the HOFers, 95-96 Bulls players, possible future HOFers and Asian players.

Again, looking forward to meet some of you. I hope I can help contribute to this community and to learn from all of you. Thank you.

    Billy

I actually do have a couple of question:

    1. I see that most people say check my Beckett. What does that mean? Can you load a collection onto Beckett? Any other way of loading one's collection on to the web?

    2. I just recently purchased a subscription to Beckett as well, anything I should know?

    3. I have read thru most of the "suggested" reading in the Newbie forum. Anything else I should read in order for me to get up to speed?

    4. Lastly, do I automatically subscribe to all the threads that I post in? Is there an option to turn them off?

Thank you very much for all you guys help. I think it would be a painful 1-2 months to get use to. LOL

    Hey Billy! Welcome to SCF/

    As for your questions:

    1. Most people say check by BUCKET, not Beckett. A Bucket is a photobucket with pictures of all of their cards.

    2. I never used Beckett, so I can't help you there.

    3. Nope! You're good to go!

    4. You can find everything you need to know by going to:

    -Quick Links (Top Right)
    -Edit Options
    Andrew Bailey Supercollector: 233/263 not including 1/1's (88.6%); 265/466 cards including 1/1's(56.9%)

I actually do have a couple of question:

    1. I see that most people say check my Beckett. What does that mean? Can you load a collection onto Beckett? Any other way of loading one's collection on to the web?

Beckett is the guy who made a price guide for all sports cards mate, although it aint used a lot tbh as his prices are overpriced.... the best way to upload your scans is onto photobucket, which people call a bucket

    2. I just recently purchased a subscription to Beckett as well, anything I should know?

    Cancel it ;)

    3. I have read thru most of the "suggested" reading in the Newbie forum. Anything else I should read in order for me to get up to speed?

Nope, your set to go, come over to the basektball forum and get to know all the people over there

    4. Lastly, do I automatically subscribe to all the threads that I post in? Is there an option to turn them off?

you do and you can cancel them when you go onto your emails buddy

Thank you very much for all you guys help. I think it would be a painful 1-2 months to get use to. LOL
