    Need assistance

Hey Guys, as you can tell I'm fairly new to the card trading community. I recently joined to seek help with selling my cards. If anyone could help me out with the basics of Hockey cards and Where or to whom I could sell them, that would be fantastic. I can post pictures/info of each card that I'm interested in selling if that would help at all. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    Welcome to scf.

I sent you a private message (which appears on the top right of the screen) with some card tips.

    Hope it helps.

    Matt

Thanks! I also wanted to know where i could get a card graded. Every card I see that is selling usually has a Beckett case with a condition number. Is this a mail-in service, or are there usually local places for this to be done?

Grading through BGS (Beckett grading services) or PSA are mail in services.

Lucky for you there is a group BGS submission that has a deadline of today. Click the link to read up on how it works.

It would be helpful if you could make a list/pictures of the cards you have. Most modern cards aren't worth getting graded (with the exception of some rookies), while the majority of vintage sell better graded. As for where you can sell them, eBay and here on SCF are two options. If you have a lot of stuff, setting up at a local show may also be an option.

I have 166 Cards in total. For the time being I collected what looked like the most valuable and took some pictures, I will work on making a list and post it in the future. The pictures below show 28 of the 166 cards. For some, I have more than one of the card.

    Edit:
That link is the album with card photos. I'm currently compiling a list.
My camera is pretty terrible so please excuse the blurry nature of the photos.

    Ed Olczeyk - 86 - 1985

    Kelly Hrudey - 122 - 1985

    Kevin Dineen - 34 - 1985 x3

Mario Lemieux - 262 Rookie Scoring Leaders card x2

    Kirk Muller - 84 - 1985 x3

    Al Iafrate - 210 - 1985

I'm really interested to get an estimated value of the first card, Mario Lemieux - 9 - 1985
If anyone has an idea of what it's worth please tell me!
    Thanks again.
