I'm pretty sure it's not going to chairty, it's going to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

And you know this because? What, do you have an inside source that works for the Pirates?
lol dude. They even say its going to charity. Do you also think the Tigers and Rockies money from the autographs doesn't go to charity? Because they have the same concept as the Pirates...

No, because I got an envelope from the Pittsburgh Pirates today giving me back my card and saying that they want me to send money that will contribute to THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES in exchange for Neil Walker's autograph. No charity was mentioned in the note.

I wouldn't be griping if the money was going to charity, I'm just a little disgruntled over the fact that a struggling team like the Pirates would charge money for their players' autographs. All they're doing is alienating potential fans, that they evidently need since they're in the top 5 worst attendance at games.

You make it seem like you wouldn't pay for any of these guys autographs. What if they Pirates had a decent record? You probaly still wouldn't pay...

If I wanted the players autograph enough, I would pay for it no matter what team he was on.
My point is that a team like the Pirates who are struggling shouldn't be charging money for autographs if it's not going to charity because a team in the top 5 in worst attendance evidently must need more fans, and doing this isn't very fan friendly.
