How much time and money do you spend ?

Just wondering how much time and money everyone spends on collecting or collecting-related activities.
Personally I find it is a way of avoiding life which is more bad than good as there are several other things I should be putting more time into.
I have started and stopped collecting several times. I started again about a year ago and in the last couple months have spent over $1000, which is a little beyond my means and far more than I should have.

i don't spend that much really. i only buy new stuff around my birthday and christmas and then just trade cards the rest of the year.

Probably more than I should - Wife does a good job of keeping me in line though lol

Lately it seems a little too much time...I have been going to a lot of shows, and spending at least $100-$200 at each one...plus, buying stuff from my local shops on occasion, very addicting!

I spent too much also. But, I have a budget that I will not go over.
Spending time with the cards and stuff is where the problem is.
There is never enough time. I just seem to sort them and then put them in a sleeve or card loader and into a box until I see them again years later.

I spend probably anywhere from $50-$200 a week on cards....depending on how much trading I do...the more I trade, the less I seem to spend.

I usually spend at least a few hours a day messin with my cards, putting stuff away, just looking thru them or whatever. I enjoy it very much, as I have been at this now since 1987 :D

I just go to the local card shop, buy a pack from a couple years ago, come away with a nice insert or good rookie.

I don't keep track of how much I spend...if I did I would probably quit.
