    Excellent ebayer

We see so many negative ebay stories on these boards, I thought that I would share a very positive experience.

Before I start, let me state the obvious, BECKETT PRICING SUCKS!!

A little background. As some of you might know for a few years now I have been working on the 00-01 UD Legends Epic Signatures set. Considering this is from over 10 years ago they are not the easiest to find. In the past couple of weeks a few BIG ones popped up on ebay. The reason for the Beckett sucks line is I paid almost twice the "bv" for all of them (I've previously missed out on the same ones once before and they sold for the same big bucks).

    Beckett value: $150

Now onto the specific ebay seller. I hope it is OK that I post this, but his ebay ID is 1hockeymaster, excellent seller. Basically I won the card, by default it is the basic shipping added to the invoice and considering the value I was willing to pay the higher fee offered for tracking/insurance. I messaged the seller asking to reissue the invoice and this is what he responded:

"Hello Jamie- Thanks for the email regarding the request for revised invoice.
The card sold for a bit more than I expected so if you want to pay just the minimum shipping cost ($3) I will send it expresspost with tracking/insurance and I will cover the extra cost."

WOW!!! Card paid for on May 23rd, received on May 26th. A true class act, I mean I offered to pay the higher fee, most ebayers I've dealt with would have just said OK and changed the invoice.

    Thanks for reading,
    Coops

I think I have the Lemieux auto from that set.
Nice story with a happy ending.
