Newbie from CT

Hey all, I'm Matt and from CT. I began collecting in the late 80's when I was 6. Eventually my Dad got into collecting and and that is where our collections really grew. I enjoy collecting basketball and baseball, while my Dad likes all four sports.

In 1998, I stopped collecting/buying cards due to a lack of time. I was in high school and playing on the basketball team. Fast forward to 06, college is over, work begins : / haha With more time on my hands, I dusted off my collection and renewed my interest in collecting cards. I have narrowed to collecting only a few things. Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter, and NYY players.

My Kobe collection is what I'm most proud of. In 1996, I was already a Kobe fan, and hunted for all his cards either buying packs, singles, or trading. I have two Chrome RC's that I pulled from packs along w/ many other rookie year cards pulled from packs. To date my Kobe collection is well over 400 cards.

I no longer buy boxes/packs. My collection grows from doubles passed down from my Dad and buying singles, which I don't do often. I look forward to learning more about the forum.
