Thanks Snipers!!!
I know its part of bidding on the bay, but when someone literally waits till the last 8 or 9 seconds for their first bid and you don't even have a chance to bid again it really blows!!! Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. Sorry bout the little rant.

There is plenty you can do about it - either bid your maximum the first time or use a snipe program - done and done.

Tell me about it I've been burned like 4 times this past week lol I hate it especially when you bid on it a couple days early and when you get to the final minutes someone bids on it and the price Keeps going up everytime you put a new bid in! X(

Yea, i mean I know its part of it, but still is aggravating, especially when you're the only one who had bid at all. Guess I should have made my max bid higher.

your getting sniped my friend, in all likelyhood they werent even at the computer when it placed the bid, I keep on telling myself to not become one of those people, but for the ammount of times its happened to me, Im seriously thinking about signing up for a snipe program.

It's happened to me quite frequently too...usually in the last 3 seconds, though...and that's when there's zero time to put in another bid...

If you were not willing to bid higher, it doesn't matter. If you were willing to bid higher, why not just put in a higher max bid?
I don't understand why people bid early short of not being able to be there at the auction's close. If you can be there at the end, all you're doing by bidding early is alerting other bidders that there will be competition on the card. You also give last minute bidders (and shills) an opportunity to blow you off your max bid late.

Im sorry you lost out on the card but I ONLY bid in the final 10 seconds for cards im watching. I put in my highest bid and if i win great, if not i dont get into a bidding war and wind up paying more for the card than i want to.
If you were/are the only bidder on the final day, I would suggest increasing your max bid to your absolute highest price point and then if you get sniped by a higher bid its easier to deal with.

Yea, I know, just one of those things after it happens and have to vent, lesson learned thoughLast edited by XxViSiOnxX; 05-31-2011 at 11:34 PM.

I do this, only mine is with ~20 seconds so I have time to put in another bid if I know that the next increment bid will get me the high bid (like when you bid $10, and it only goes up to $10.10 instead of $10.50).
