    rookie card question

    So I plan on buying some basketball rookie cards here coming up. I am looking at 2 options.
    1. Buy the 96-97 topps chrome set with kobes rc, along with nash, allen and a few others

    2. Or do I go with a couple older players such as Dr. J, Pete Maravich or the magic/bird rc?

    really depends on the price of either option, as well as the gradability(condition) of all the cards involved
