I think Rubio is as ready as for the NBA as John Wall was. Wall might have more "talent", and physically more ready than Rubio, But Rubio has more basketball IQ since he has been playing at a high level of basketball since 14, so I think he can adjust quickly to the NBA game. It will be interesting to see what Rubio can do.
He will need to get a little stronger, and practice that shot of his. However, I think he will develop into a Nash-like player, and maybe surpass that status if he has the determination. I wish him well on his journey.
On a side note, I am excited to see if I can meet him in person being here in MN. A buddy of mine works for the wolves in the marketing department, maybe he could hope it up?!

He can be an NBA player but that does not mean he can keep up with the other players. But, look at Barea, small guy making a name for himself and having an amazing post season with Dallas.

fyi angel Rubio has like 4 inches on Barea so his size will not be as big of a factor. Also if any of you watched the 08 Olympics I felt he played pretty decent getting guarded by the likes of jason kidd (albeit Kidd is old) and Deron Williams. Also his ppg and shooting percentage in European league play may be deceiving. No one really believed that Brandon Jennings would be that good, because of how he played in Europe, but I would have to say he turned out to be pretty good and Rubio probably has a little more potential than Jennings.

I think he definitely has a very good shot of being pretty good. Those international leagues can be pretty brutal in terms of practice schedules, facilities, etc. Plus, watching his Olympic play as well as international play it really seems like he has natural instincts for the game.
If he can play within himself I think he'll be okay.
Just my opinion...

I see Rubio being a solid NBA player in a couple of years, but I dont think he will hit the level of a Steve Nash- more of a role player than a star, in my opinion, but hes got a lot of talent. He needs to bulk up a bit, or hes gonna get killed if he drives the lane though.
I wish him well, he is fun to watch in the international leagues, it will be interesting to see how he transitions to the NBA game, especially if minnesota drafts derrick williams- beasley, love, williams, rubio is a pretty good young core...

Well, I usually do not get impressed by Olympics performance.Look at a couple of years back the way Carlos Arroyo played on those qualifiers and look at the way he is playing now. I am not saying he can;t make it but when you are playing for your country you get more inspired and tend to play better.

I saw him play in the Olympics only and he was decent but not amazing, but I did like watching his highlights though. If nothing else, I'm looking forward to 1999-2000 Jason Williams 2.0.
