Buying Lots To Get Singles You Need
Anyone else had to do this before? I've been doing it a lot lately in my quest to complete the 10/11 Certified insert sets I'm building. Cards I need keep appearing in auction lots, but not as singles. Major pain but oh well.
Also bought a Markus Naslund lot just to get a base card from 00/01 MVP I needed to finish that set. lolHidden Content (cards crossed out are pending arrival)

I've done it, then sold the rest of the cards in the lot usually for more than I paid, so I got the card I needed free!!

Haha, yeah, thinking I'll do the same. Have 4 Certified insert lots incoming, about 15 cards but only need 5 of them, so probably be able to get most of my money back selling the other 10 as a lot.

Done that years ago, but only when it was at least 40% cards I needed, and then the rest went into the "trade pile".. Dunno if I'd do that these days, but definitely a good way to build up trade bait?

Lots of times.
It always depends on the cost for the lot, but I'm more than willing to do it.
When I was building out the Ranford PC - I would buy 100, 200, or even 300 card lots (of Ranford) hoping to get a couple I needed. Never had to pay a ton for them (not more than I would have been okay with for buying 5 cards I needed)
