    1980's Basketball RC's

Hi, I did a Beckett search for RC's from the 1980's and see that Topps had one RC in 80-81 (Bird and Magic) then some in 81-82 but then it skips to 86-87 Fleer?

Is there really only one RC in 80-81? Although the BV on the Bird/Magic RC's must be insane!

What happened to Basketball cards between 82-83 and 85-86?

They pretty much didn't have any sets, rather than Star that came out during those years. That's why everyone that was a rookie between those years their rc's are during the 1986 fleer set

If I am not mistaken no one released basketball cards in 1982/83 (except for mabey a small regional company). Star did not start making nba cards until 1983/84.

Yeah they had team sets, I'm not sure if they also had all-star sets too, it seems like they might have had those too?
