Is it really THAT easy? Opinions guys

So I was searching around on Ebay to see what Dirk Nowitzki autos are going for around this time with him being in the Playoffs. I have a 2009-10 R*S Gold Stars auto #'d 04/10 and just wanted to see what similar autos were going for ($80-100 if you're curious). I came across these two auctions and they both sold by the same guy and he made a nice little penny on them. Opinions on these beauties? <------Sarcasim FYI.

This is why a lot of star players don't sign autographs...

From what I've heard/read, Dirk is real nice about signing in person autos and even TTM. But what I like about collecting him is he doesn't sign a lot for card companies. So he doesn't have a lot floating around the market like some players.

Why on earth would anyone spend 99 bucks on one of those things is beyond me.

with an in person auto, there is no book value to compare too. Only past sales and in the end its worth what somebody will pay. Dirk is doing well in the finals and proving himself the superstar that he is. I imagine his autos would be selling at a premium these days.

I would never buy any auto that has not either been certfied by the card company or by psn/dna. It would be funny if those auto turned out to be forgeries. There's a sucker born every minute.

In person autos aren't really supposed to be sold, they are "supposed" to be a memento for a fan. If you went up to Dirk and said you work for a card shop and wanted to increase the value of a jersey or card, he'd probably send you on your way.

I was thinking of trying to get a TTM auto for Kobe. Anybody giving odds on him signing it?
