Wow, it's completely different from the Predator head. Also, the star used for the cat/bear's eye is a tribute to the Minnesota North Stars. Bet'cha didn't know that.

    Dakota

It faces the other way and has a forest in it, not much difference.
I didn't know about the star though.

and Bo, whatever. The fact remains the Capitals logo was "CAPITALS" not an eagle. If they were the Eagles it would have been a fine logo. Their name is "CAPITALS" the eagle makes as much sense as the Canucks having an Orca, which I also don't understand.

The orca only makes sense because it came into being when the team was owned by "Orca Bay Sports"
That and, it makes a "C" I guess. Personally, I think it should be the Johnny V logo they have on their shoulders when wearing the original logo.
I guess I get the Eagle logo, but it makes as much sense as the orca.

Also, as much as I hate the Blackhawks, they have the best logo in pro sports.

Yeah, I'd have the 'Hawks up there with the Red Wings as the best logos in sports.

and leafs, if you know the meaning behind it, then it really makes for quite a logo and name.

I agree that some of the current NHL logos are not as nice as they could be. I don't like the current Capitals jerseys - I prefer the ones they used when Ovechkin was a rookie.

My favorite sweaters are the Wild. Even the alternate green and gold look great.

but there is always something special about a logo that has gone unchanged for 80 something years...Boston's spoked B, redwings, blackhawks, candiens, etc.
