Means you have to wear oven mitts as the cardboard box the packs come in has an increased surface temperature......seriously though it means no base, every card is a parrallel or insert.

A box loaded with hits, more then any other average box. A box that you beat the odds like UD would fecth many YG Rookies in a hot box. Normally you get like six and I seen box getting like more then double this. But it as to be many hit not just one big cards. The odds are always on the back of pack and on the box they say "X" rookie on average. So if you have like double the rookie they announce, this would fall as a hot box.

Certified had 1 "hot" box per case. The odds for inserts/autos/memo are the same, but all of the base cards are replaced with "platinum" versions (numbered to /999 or less). Most are usually to /999, with a handfull to /499 and some to /100, /25, /5, etc.

They do not. If they did, stores would have a ton of excess stock because people would just want the hot box.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

yep, its just more favorable odds. either better chance of a big hit or additional smaller hits.
I got 7 boxes out of a 09/10 hot case of Ice and pulled 8 or so of the /99 RCs
