What Sets do you miss the most?

Now that the NBA has sold it's soul to Panini, it got me thinking, what sets I miss the most.

I always had a soft spot for Topps Chrome, UD SP Authentic, and UD Black.

Topps Chrome - The gold standard for rookie cards. It's a shame we won't have Topps Chrome rookie cards anymore.

SP Authentic - I don't know what it was about it, the perfect mid-range prices really delivered for me. I also loved the designs. Specifically the 04-05 set.

Black - Something about the on the silver on-card autographs and huge patches was so appealing to me.

    Here's an example:

Anyways, what sets do you guys miss?

I also miss Topps Chrome, growing up I used to collect EX and SPx. Loved those credentials and holograms as a kid.

I know what you mean. EX and SPx were definitely glossy. Sometimes though, I felt SPx went a lil overboard.

Topps chrome, ex series, ud exquisite, spx back before ish hit the fan.

Wish those idiots at panini would've made contenders basketball like the football. Would've been a great set, but like everything else they screwed it up.

Since I am more of a budget minded collector I miss the UD 1st edition, fleer base and press pass basketball. Panini did come out with the adrenalyn xl which is 99 cents per pack but it was impossible to find in stores in my area. I hate exclusive contracts and long for the days when 3 or 4 different companies can make liscenced basketball cards.

I really miss SP Authentic (non-collegiate SPA lol), always been one of my favorites. I was also always a big fan of Finest especially when the cards had the peel off protectors on them (I didn't like them as much when finest went to the mini-box configuration).

I also miss some products that came out when I was a kid. Fleer Metal was one of my all-time favorites and to this day I still think that 96-97 and 97-98 Flair Showcase were some of the nicest cards ever made.

Fleer had so many great sets in the 90's. I liked some of the Skybox Premium sets from 95-96 and 96-97.
