    Graphing at Phillies Alumni Night

According to the Phillies website, the following is taking place:

    Alumni Night

    Sat, Aug 13

    7:05 pm Nationals

I went to this years ago when I was really young at Veteran's Stadium before I knew anything about graphing, and watched the "alumni batting challenge." It is a really fun night and they honor all the old players.

My question is, has anyone graphed here? Look at this picture from the 2009 event at some of the names on the back of the jerseys!

I see a bunch of HOFs and great players there. I also see an awesome opportunity. Anyone ever give it a try?

I'm thinking of going this year. I heard that in past years, Mike Schmidt would shake people's hands in the HOF section below the terrace level, but he wouldn't sign autographs.

Yeah I know. He signed in spring training this year, but I just don't know what he would do at CBP. I've heard that Steve Carlton has gotten better over the last couple years signing-wise though, so I wouldn't lose hope if you're thinking of going.

Good idea. The 1993 guys are all down to earth and nice guys, the HOFers though might be hard. Give it a shot!

maybe a dumb question, but have people had much luck graphing at CBP at all? back at the vet it was real easy to wait for players after the game, now the player lot seems to be in an inaccessible area. as always there are a bunch of guys doing pay appearances around alumni weekend.

I graph CBP all the time and it's real tough going. Visiting teams you can get as they warm up or at the dugout (I've gotten werth and ubaldo this year), but the phillies are a shyt show- only victorino has signed pregame and I do the pitchers all the time and madson signs regularly and I've seen cliff lee sign exactly 3 autos all season. It's tough going to the max.
