Devils, Zach Parise file for arbitration
NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Devils have filed for arbitration with restricted free agent Zach Parise.
Devils president and general manager Lou Lamoriello said Friday the NHL team made the move to protect its rights, adding it will continue to work to sign the star left wing to a long-term contract.

This isn't going to end well for the Devils.

Completely, 100% disagree.
Lou will do what is best for the team in the short and long run. He's easily one of the best GMs in the league.
Whether Parise goes or stays, the Devils will still be a great club because of the ownership and GM.

I think every Devils fan has been fearing that they would not be able to sign Parise since the day the Kovy deal was announced -- its by far the #1 question I see on the blogs I read. Hopefully Lou can pull it off...
