Question
I've always wanted to go to a race and now I finally have my chance. A friend of mine whose company is a sponsor gave him tickets. He got 4 free tickets with pit passes plus we'll get free food and drinks. It's to tomorrows race in Michigan. I live in Ohio so it's not too far away. My question is has anyone ever gone to a race and been in the pits? Just curious of what all that allows you to do? Do you get to meet driver's? Any information will be appreciated! Thanks!

I have been in the pits at Bristol and Talladega. Each track lets you do certain things while on pit road.. At Bristol we got to tour pit road before the race and you can get lucky enough and catch a driver or two and get autographs. At Talladega it is a very easy access to get them. You get to actually walk down pit road there and it is a blast! I hope you have fun and make sure to take as many pictures as you can

Thanks for the info! Yeah I'm really excited about going. I have my camera charging right now and I just bought a new memory card. I don't follow it as much as I used to so I don't really have a favorite driver. I used to be a big Rusty Wallace fan. I might get to take my dad which will be a perfect Father's Day present. He's a huge Tony Stewart fan.
