RNH? overrated? maybe just a little
IMO, RNH will not be a force in the NHL in years to come.
his size, and burst of good now, means nothing to me.
i dont see this guy becoming a force, and he has yet to prove me.
what do you guys think, i think landeskog is the best overall pick going forward, and now

Why exactly? He's got incredible skill and vision, skates good, can run a powerplay very well, has sandpaper in his game and can score. Landeskog has limited offensive skill. I dont see him being anything more than a 30-30 guy, which is fine, but at #1 I want a guy who has 90-100 point potential. RNH definitely has that and I just dont see it in Landeskog. Dont get me wrong I think every team in the league would want to have a guy like Landeskog, and what he could become just not with the 1st overall pick.

so 106 points in 69 games doesn't prove anything? Just look at Martin St. Louis or Brian Gionta who are both great players and smaller the RNH. I really don't see how you don't think of this guy as a very good potential force in the NHL in the future.
I'm not exactly sure how I would rank everybody as I haven't scouted much of the talent but I would be surprised if RNH and Larsson aren't taken in the top 3

I didn't understand that sentence, could you explain it? Burst of what?
i dont see this guy becoming a force, and he has yet to prove me.
Have any of these prospects proven anything yet?
I believe that Landeskog is the most NHL ready right now, but he has a more limited ceiling compared to RNH or even Huberdeau.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has great vision, great speed, great shooting and passing abilities. People may say size is an issue, but if you are as shifty as Nugent-Hopkins is, it won't be a problem. Like G0SharksG0 said, Martin St. Louis is way smaller than RNH. There is no way any of the 30 teams in the league won't want St. Louis, because size isn't a factor.
And if want my rankings?
1.RNH
2.Larsson
3.Huberdeau
4.Landeskog
5.Hamilton
6.Couturier
7.Strome
8.Zibanejad
9.Murphy
10.Bartschi
But I don't think the draft happens that way.

well he had a burst of great hockey play, and yes he had an amazing season
what im not understanding is why RNH jumbed from 3rd projection all the way to first since midseason
keep in mind landeskog was hurt.
im not saying RNH is bad, he has potential to be the 100 point guy, but i see him as a amazing player or a bust.
I'm trying to figure out why all of a sudden, he went from 3rd, and not much media, to now hes a unanamous 1st pick
and personally junior stats dont mean much, you remember daigle?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_Daigle
check out his 92 stats
its just junior, its not the big leagues

Well, 3rd to first isn't a very big jump, especially considering the previous top 3(which 3 are you talking about? We may be looking at different rankings) was noted to be very close and any of them could be number 1. I think scouts are seeing now how RNH is able to see the game at a high level and has abilities that other players don't(vision, shiftiness, etc.), and his deficiencies (size and strength) can be improved through the good work ethic that he already has.
You can make an argument for any of these guys for number 1, but I personally believe Nugent-Hopkins has the most potential and abilities to improve the Oilers.
