call me crazy, but wouldn't it be much more productive (and financially beneficial) to, say....get a job instead?

    See Star_Cards's Items on eBay

I've always wondered what the professional pack searchers end up making per hour when you take the cost of driving around to 15-20 stores every week or so. Seems like it couldn't be that much unless you are hitting some huge cards. I guess it's still a hobby for them so there is some enjoyment that they get, but with all of the junk "hit" cards out there it's got to be hard to make any real cash for the time and effort.

This stuff happens all the time. Funny thing is that this guy is probably wasting his time anyways. Odds are somebody already did it before him . My area had a guy that was notorious for this. Targets in a 20 mile radius were searched. People just gotta be smart about it, as in don't buy loose packs from target and expect to get hits. If you're gonna buy retail just stick to sealed blasters.

That's not even a safe bet. I heard that guys buy the blasters, open them and grab the hits, reseal them with base and reseal the original plastic and return it to the box stores.

The best thing to do is inform the department manager so that the employees can be on the lookout for people standing in front of packs for hours

No doubt. You can only feel for patches and jersey cards. In my opinion autos are worth much more like auto rookies, and even sp rookie cards. But a lot of people do it, so they must "feel" they are getting some value (no pun intended)

I actually had that happen to me before. I remember going to my local walmart about a year or 2 ago. I bought either a football or basketball blaster box (I can't remember which one) and when I took it home to open it up it wasn't anything in it but a bunch of worthless junk wax baseball from the 1980s and 1990s. I took it back and they refunded my money. It's sad that there is so much dishonesty in our hobby. SMH.

not to mention the fact that this guy is not exactly going through 04 Exquisite. these are panini retail packs.

is it even worth it to search packs for another Luol Deng jersey card?

leave the jersey cards to people who open cards for fun and get excited with pulls like that. dont pick out the loose packs and then sell them as hot packs on ebay or something.

those people just take a lot of the fun out of it all.

Hey guys, I am brand new to card collecting and this is my first post! But anyways, the other day I was at Target and I had never been in the cards before, I decided to go in and im glad I did. I was thinking of which pack to get and since I had no idea about cards I didnt know which packs to avoid and which packs to get. The decision was taking me awhile and then some guy just came over and was doing all this weird stuff to the packs. I didn't like being around him cause he was just creepy and I had no idea what he exactly he was trying to accomplish. I decided to just grab a random pack of the brand I was thinking about getting the whole time (prestige football) and left. When I got in the car I couldnt believe my eyes, I pulled my first jersey card out of my first pack, I could not tell what I was more excited about, pulling the card, or getting something by just grabbing a pack instead of searching it. Anyways, I just wanted to share this story with the people I hope to become friends with and make some awesome trades with!
