Those Of You With Lots Of Thrashers Cards

Are going to be super busy very soon, and making gobs of money. When I lived in Wpg, there were many Mad Hockey Card Collectors.

When the Jets left, so did their collecting universe. You now have a market about 20 times the size for collecting than you had in Atlanta.

Those of you that have Thrasher cards ( sans Heatley, Hossa and Kovy) will be in the money should you decide to move your cards.

I will disagree, rookie cards and stars maybe but until the first cards come out in their uniform you will see little interest.....thats how I would feel if it was my team.

I have to be in the movement to disagree. It may be the franchise, but I don't believe too many Coyotes collectors chased Jets. Either do Canes collectors with Whalers, nor Avalanche collectors for Nordiques... You get the picture I do believe.

How many Devils fans Collect Rockies? Calgary Flames>Atlanta Flames? So on and so forth........

Yeah, I have to agree. If Atlanta was a major collector town, I could see some lots going, but I think only die-hard Thrashers fans would be after anything at this point. When Winnipeg cards start coming out then you'll see some interest in that, but it will die down to a normal, though possibly hardcore, collector market after the first season.

I think people will do well with rookie stuff, since obviously it's more valuable and zero chance to get them in a Jets uni, but I think the other stuff will pretty much hold in value.

I'm going to jump in and say its going to be in the middle of the road. Sure most Winnipeg fans are going to want players in their new Winnipeg uniforms... only those won't come out until what? April at the earliest? I'm just guessing...

I think in the meantime, the card collectors in Winnipeg will get antsy and start picking up some of their favorites even if they're wearing Atlanta uniforms.

I think we'll see Atlanta cards rise a little bit in interest in price, but for the most part they'll be waiting for sets at the end of the 11-12 or the start of 12-13.
