hey so basically i sold this card:

I was about to ship it...but tuesday the postal strike was in montreal...so it was pointless..and after that LOCKOUT till now..

I printed the label out..so it was marked as shipped..i didn't think much to add..


I didn't get any emails or nothings like that i got a big fat CASE OPENED AND ESCALATED...

With no message nothing really, i emailed him and explained the postal situation..

What would you do..

Hey Max, I have 2 cards that i have to ship to Canada...I just messaged both guys saying i couldn't send them out till after the strike and they were both really cool about it...That sucks that you ran into a scumbag...Good luck bud !

i sold about 25 diff transaction emailing everyone... about the strike..all are understanding..

Some even message me to wait for the strike to be over..

Wow some people have their head in the sand. You get the odd one that is oblivious of what circumstances are going on around them, and they resort to drastic measures to get what they think is owed them...

There is nothing I hate more than when somebody opens a PayPal claim then immediately escalates it, leaving you with no opportunity to plead your case or anything. Pretty much your only option is to refund the payment or face consequences.

PayPal REALLY needs to change the dispute format, at least require the seller to provide a response to the claim before it can be escalated further. At least then you can defend yourself.

I pray to GOD !!! that Ebay & Paypal know of our strike.
What will happen with all the claims that will go forward with no mail going anywhere. People will be getting jacked pretty bad.
Figure out there has to be like 10-30,000 Canadians selling cards on Ebay and someone is just gonna forget to put " item will not be sent til lock-out is over "

Ebay does have a warning when buying or bidding on Canadian items, at least for me it did yesterday.
