    Stupid Ebay Shipping Issue: Advice?

    So here's the problem

I won a card off of a seller on ebay, a fairly new seller with low feedback, but I usually give the people the benefit of the doubt because I don't have much selling feedback on ebay either.

Here's the link to the auction, which oddly enough didn't include a picture

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Now as you can see, I was charged $3.50 for shipping, and also indicates in the description that tracking would be included, never received a tracking number

This was shipping from New Jersey, and I live in Western New York.

Now it arrives yesterday, and I get a message from my mom saying that she had to pay $0.63 Postage DUE when the card arrived, to my mailman to get the package.

I get charged $3.50 for shipping, and have to pay EXTRA once I receive the card? That's a little ridiculous in my opinion. The postage paid on the envelope was $1.08, so I pay $4.13, and the seller pays $1.08? I find this a little ridiculous

I messaged the seller explaining I didn't think it was fair, and haven't heard back

    So, what would you do?

I have had numerous packages in the last few weeks where I had to pay extra and I wasn't a bit pleased about it. It's dumbfounding to me that the postal service allows this.

Put in a Paypal Claim for the .84 cents owed you. If he gets does not return your message........ then........

Neg him, and give him 1's across the board. That kind of behaviour is garbage.

I didn't know this was even possible. If the postage is incorrect here it just gets returned and not ding the recipient for the extra charges.

Yeah I just think it's complete BS that I have to pay extra to get my package from my mailman when I already paid $3.50 shipping. $3.50 shipping within the US is ridiculous

I always charge 3.50 for shipping. However, it actually costs that much if you send the way I do.

5x7 mailer is considered a 'large package' now. Large package + DC + going to the Post Office for a 1oz package is $2.51. Add in toploader, penny sleeve, team bag, price of actual bubble mailer (.50), and transportation it is about right.

However, claiming 3.50 for shipping and only paying half for it is stupid.
