    Grade your teams draft!!!

I know that people are already discussing how their team did in other threads, but thought it would be fun for a thread to grade how your team did.

    Nuggets

Acquired : Kenneth Faried, Jordan Hamilton, Chu Chu Maduabum, and Andre Miller.

    Lost: Ray Felton

A: Great pick late in first round with Kenneth Faried, got rid of a player who wanted to leave and got a really good backup pg and a good pick in Hamilton. The only reason I wouldn't give them an A+ is because they might have been able to get a little more out of Felton.

    Cavs

Acquired: Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, Milan Macvan, 2 Future 2nd Round Picks

    Lost: Justin Harper

Grade: B+... Obviously improved our team GREATLY, but could have done more. May have been able to use the 32nd pick to get a SG or SF to help fill positions we need players for. Didn't lose anything important. Just because they didn't fill the team needs at the draft doesn't mean they can not fill the needs during other parts of the offseason.

im really not to high on irving or thompson, but there is no doubting that the cavs have improved greatly, not really counting on them to make the playoffs or anything but they will win more games.

    Dallas Mavericks-

    B-.

I'm happy with getting Fernandez, but we have too many guards right now. I wouldve liked to keep Hamilton, and add depth to the SF position.

i have confidence in them making the playoffs actually. because their in the east, you only have to get about 37 wins of 82 for the eighth seed. The cavs played great with baron at the end of the year, and that was all without our best player, jamison, and another starter - varejao. nobody really thinks about that or that the cavs started the season 7-9 last year when everyone was healthy. Not to mention that they now have this guy named kyrie irving. Tristan thompson as well will put a few Ws on the board. ALso, the cavs GM has come out and said they are trying to make a big splash in free agency this offseason. SO with all of that i think there's a decent chance they will make the playoffs. there wont be too many dominating teams in the east (miami, chi, boston/atl will be above avg, NY, and wherever dwight goes). thats only 5 or 6 teams.

I'll give the Cavs a B. Kyrie was an obvious pick, and I think he can be a great PG for us the next few years. Thompson continues to grow on me, but I don't think he will be a franchise chaning player either. I'm happy with what we did at 32nd by trading the pick. And the 57th pick really isn't going to make or break this draft, so no biggie that we drafted some guy we will have overseas for a few years.

If we are a lottery team again next year, and more than likely we will, we can draft the face of our franchise in what should be a stacked draft class, then Kyrie and TT will be that players "sidekicks."

Grade: C-: I think we could of done more with the picks we had Im not sold on this Tristan guy as we have Hickson and I really dont know about Irving I hope he proves he was worth the #1 pick. I hope we do pick up some help in the free agency because we need it.

    Spurs

B+ - Acquiring Leonard but at the expense of Hill. If they had gotten rid of Bonner or RJ, this would've been A+. First time in a long time the Spurs had such a high draft pick. It's going to be interesting to see how they do since they have had success grooming late round picks.

Also, I think Cory Joseph will be much better than people think (in the Spurs system).
