Minnesota Wild Summer Bash at Mall of America

This was a pretty cool event. It turned out way better than I expected. Here are some highlights of the evening and how things went. Upon arriving about an hour and a half early I scoped out the venue see how the evening would slow. I noticed three signs which pretty much explains how the the events would unfold:

Here the layout (rotunda at the Mall of America):

The photographs would be taken to the left at the blue curtain. The sign on the stage had the players would be doing radio interview with Kfan a local radio station. Off to the right at the table in front of all the roped off walkways would be the autographs. Here's some pictures from the event below.

    Photographs with the players:

I would say over 90% of the people that lined up for photographs were women. I never heard so many screams, shrieks, hollering, over a three hours period. There was some definitely happy fans as you can see by the picture below.

    Autographs with the players:

    Cal Clutterbuck and Wes Walz

    Radio interview with players:
Here is a quick shot of Wes Walz being interviewed.

The items I ended up getting autographs were as followed:

The best thing about the autographs was you were allowed to get to autographs. One had to be the photograph that the Minnesota wild provided while the second item could be anything of your choice. Be it jersey, hat photographs, etc. The autograph lines moved faster than I've ever seen possible mainly due to the fact that no photographs were allowed. Hence, why they had the photograph sessions on the opposite side. I do not know how many times I've seen a autograph signing slowed up by folks wanting to take pictures with the players. So kudo's to the Minnesota Wild on that note. Even with Cal Clutterbuck being the hometown favorite it seems everyone in line got an autograph with time to spare.
