Can Snow sign him and remove the curse of talent avoiding Long Island like it's a jail term.

Fraidy Cat Syndrome is what Error-Hoff has. He was shown to be too timid, and was one of the reasons that the Canucks were frightened out of the Stanley Cup by the Bruins.
They abused him like a rented donkey.

Islanders trade ehrhoff's rights to sabres for 4th-round pick
The Buffalo Sabres have acquired the negotiating rights to defenceman Christian Ehrhoff from the New York Islanders in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Ehrhoff, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Friday, had his negotiating rights traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the Islanders in exchange for a 4th round pick on Tuesday but a deal could not be struck.

He wants to hit the open market. Unless Buffalo wants to offer him 6+million/year they won't sign him.
