Toledo Mud Hens @ Columbus Clippers; 6/29
As I'm sure most of you noticed, I had tickets for the Mudhens/Clippers noon game today in Columbus...first time 'graphing the Clippers new stadium, didn't know what to expect. I would say I did quite alright.....
Pregame
Mud Hens (all on game day roster sheet)
AJ Sager (pitching coach)
Lester Oliveros
Brad Thomas
Duane Bellow
LJ Ganier
Clippers
Chen Lee 1/1 Clippers Custom
Tim Fedroff 1/1 Clippers Custom
Ruben Niebla (pitching coach) 1/1 Clippers Custom
Jerad Head 1/1 Clippers Custom
Ezequiel Carrera 1/1 Game Day Program
Luis Valbuena 1/1 2010 Topps (one of the ones I really wanted!)
Needless to say, I was pretty happy with how I did pre-game! Got a few nice prospects, some guys who have been in the Majors, and a some others...but no Jason Kipnis or Zach McAllister, who I really wanted. With some tips from shoemajt, I decided to check out the parking lot afterwards...
Postgame
Mud Hens
Fe-Te Ni 1/1 Game Day Program (mistook him for Chen Lee...)
Adam Wilk 1/1 Roster Sheet
Jeff Salazar 1/1 Roster Sheet
Clippers (all that are listed as Program were on the same program)
Scott Barnes 1/1 Game Day Program
Corey Kluber 1/1 Program
Joe Martinez 1/1 Program
Dwight Childs 1/1 Program
Jeanmar Gomez 1/1 Program (great guy, hung around for awhile)
Josh Judy 1/1 Program
Zack Putnam 1/1 Program (smeared)
Nick Hagadone 1/1 Program (score!)
Jared Goedert 1/1 Program
Ruben Niebla 1/1 Program (signed again)
David Huff 1/1 2010 Topps (another one I was after!)
And the two top ones.............
Jason Kipnis 1/1 Program
Zach McAllister 1/1 ROMLB on the Sweet Spot!
So a new record, by far, for me autograph-wise with 27! Going in, I had hoped to get either McAllister or Kipnis on my baseball, and McAllister was one of the first out. He willingly obliged to Sweet Spot it, and it looks great! Kipnis ended up on the program for a couple reasons...I didn't recognize him (he came out with Huff, who was one I had wanted) and I ran out of other things to sign. Still, it looks great too! Hardly anyone was doing any 'graphing...mostly little kids in the stadium, and maybe half a dozen guys in the parking lot. Safe to say that I RACKED them up today! The program is mostly dark, so I got it signed in silver SRX Metallic and blue SRX Metallic, which worked very well...
Simply couldn't have asked for a better day. The Clippers won, I got everything I could've wanted, and it all turned out well. I definitely owe shoemajt for the tips about the parking lot, and bigga for designing the Clippers customs! All-in-all, it was an awesome day with some awesome autographs for my collection!

It's like that every game- that's why the same 5 or so guys are always out there after the game. Good stuff- makes the trip worth it. See a great game, see the future stars of tomorrow, and get a ton of sigs. If you live near Cbus worth the trip everytime. Akron is exactly the same if you ever come up this way- they may have more "names" on their roster than Cbus right now.

Might have to try and make it to Akron one of these days...but I'm hoping Alex White, Drew Pomeranz, and some of them will be in Columbus either this summer or at least start there, since Akron's a bit of a drive. Thanks again for the tips!

Awesome day indeed bro! You had me worried that you missed out on Kipnis and McAllister there, glad you got them. 27 is an insane number of autographs, but the Clippers are legit team when it comes to graphing. Nice job!

Only have tried Akron once in my life....the entire team came out of the doors right in front of me. I only bothered with Weglarz, White (big dude), Jason Donald (rehab) and Hafner (his last rehab game down there).

I was worried, too, after McAllister wasn't even in the dugout at the beginning of the game! But they came through for me...thanks!

Dang, that's sweet! Sounds about how it was in Columbus today...nearly all the Mud Hens AND Clippers came out the same door, but a few of the Toledo guys wouldn't sign (can't blame them after a 12-4 blowout). Once I got Kipnis (about an hour of waiting), I called it a day. Likely missed out on Nick Johnson (not sure if he was there), Jason Donald, and a few other minor guys...
