i guess the point is not everyone gets ripped off but many do, i usually like to see how people have been acting in the past 30 days that way i know how to expect my service everyone goes through rough times but id rather they are sailing smoothly if im buying. id like my chances to get my card to be as good as blackjack opposed to craps.

who said anything about slander?
I agree with the "stay away from huge sellers" comment. It makes sense. He's probably still acting like he's selling 10-25 items a week and getting behind. That's no excuse. He needs to step it up. seems like he should definately hire some help.
Just don't let this ruin you ebay experience. there are a lot of good sellers out there.
and to the ebay not caring about the buyer? I believe they do. Although they probably could have some other regulations to help. I think they kind of fall under the same situation as being too big...It's great that they are because you can find anything you want...but when problems arise, it's tough to get ahold of them. Plus with the paypal refund without DC, I hear it's pretty easy to get a refund back if the seller is scamming. I'm sure a lot of sellers have been ripped off from that as well.

To clarify something here, this could not be slander. Slander is spoken. Libel is written or printed. However, I personally do not think this could be considered libel either as it is stating what has actually happened to Tri Fecta.

Remember the number #1 rule when buying off ebay: Don't send money orders, checks, or cash. Pay with paypal AND BE SURE TO BACK IT WITH A CREDIT CARD!!!! Credit card companies are your best allies when it comes to disputing charges and getting your money back. They are out the money as well so they are going to try to resolve the matter on your behalf.
Happy ebaying!

I can't believe people buy from this seller. 97 percent is totally unacceptable as a seller with over 100 transactions IMHO.
I have no idea if he is a scammer, but anyone that takes on that many auctions needs to have a number of people helping, and I doubt this is the case.
Maybe my expectations from a seller are on the high side, but in all my transactions on ebay I have been ripped off 3 times...all before the % was kept next to the sellers name. If the feedback is 99.5% or less, I generally move on.
I hope you get this settled Tri Fecta
Peace~

As a relatively young E-bayer (only 125 feedback points) I totally agree with Blackdiamond and bostonwayno. To sum up what they are saying, I believe it's a matter of common sense. We buyers, HAVE to protect ourselves just as sellers have to protect themselves against scammers who buy their stuff and even though they got it, they still file for Paypal refund. I personally go with the 99.5% rule and ONLY deal with Paypal. I also agree with who said that E-bay doesn't care about its buyers. A $25 fee to your refund is completely unacceptable. I'd understand if they charged that if the claim was proven unfounded, but if I was indeed scammed it's ridiculous I have to pay $25 for a proceesing fee. That shows their utter disregard to smaller buyers. When I file a complaint and they find it to be true, I am doing them a favor as well, for this guy will be tagged and they will be able to take away a guy who contributes negatively to the E-bay business as a whole. Fact is, E-bay is ridiculous with its policy enforcing capabilities. There is not a single day I browse through card auctions and I see sellers accepting Paypal, but no credit card payments. As some of you know, that's a direct violation of E-bay seller's policy, but the guys are there, roaming freely.
I like the way Paypal handles these things, as they are usually more buyer oriented. A lot of sellers complain about Paypal, but if they respected its rules, they'd come to the conclusion that Paypal can also protect sellers as well. Fact is, not many people bother to go through the terms of service/rules of the sites they work with. They think they can make up their own rules in their product descriptions and are free to do whatever they please. If a seller can't handle the amount of auctions he's having, then he's incompetent and greedy, at least.
To all of you who sell on E-bay, don't get me wrong. I've had some EXCELLENT experiences with E-bay sellers, and I'm usually a very loyal customer. If the seller treats me right, you can be sure I'll be back to buy other lots regularly, like mentioned before.
Bottomline is, Trifecta did a great job alerting us to this seller, but by the end of the day each and everyone of us will decide if we want to deal or not with this person, so I don't believe Trifecta should be criticized for what he did.
I'd also like to add that this is the second time in a couple of days I've seen this kind of post here. I'm still new to SCF, but I'm guessing this kind of post is very often here. My suggestion would be that a forum regarding these auction experiencs should be created here, where people could post their experiences (bad or GOOD) with dealers in auction sites, or somebody who sees an auction from a person can inquire other people's opinion about the veracity of the item or the reputation of the seller.
