Cam said he is a youngster without much cash and has trouble sending packages out. He owes me a trade package also and hasn't sent me anything this month. I haven't sent him anything this month neither because I am waiting to get something from him. Also, I don't mind Hippieman being on the wait list. If a team that I want pops up, then I'll swap out the Phils for them.

Thanks, Mike. Crosby87's reported that he got his package from Cam, so he's getting caught up.

Ok, here's an idea. Younger guys like Cam may need a little help. If they're under, say, 16-18, maybe they'll need to have their parents be more involved in an advisory capacity? If anyone's got some ideas, I'd love to read them.

    Andrew,

Here's the sitch. I'm not sure if Camh44 is your age or younger, but as Spiegel83 points out, the kid has had some cash flow problems that have prevented him from completing deals. Now, you stated you were leaving the group, and I'm sorry you've made this decision, but you're always welcome to come back. Do you have any suggestions to pass on to Cam to help him out? Ideas are always welcome.

One of the main problems with people without "set" jobs is that shipping is so darn expensive and cards are up high, too. I am mainly a low end collector, but I do have a decent cash flow coming to me every week.

The main reason why I am leaving was because I just didn't feel like my lots were cutting it compared to others. I received some great lots of numbered cards, and the main numbered cards I have were PC only or teams that nobody in here collects. I just felt like I couldnt continue "lowballing" the people in here.

My main suggestion would to be set up smaller trades with less cards with Cam to help save on shipping. Maybe a 10-15 card lot? Every ounce counts.

Sounds like a good idea. Does anyone here agree with Andrew? Should we lower the minimum number for younger traders? Holla!

Doesn't just have to be younger traders :) Anyone with monetary issues, whether it is a month or 3 months. Just make sure the logistics are laid out before anyone sends to ensure nobody sends 20 cards and gets back 10.

A suggestion here is my PO has a automated machine in it and i use it over the actual person. The reason for it seems when i bring it to the counter they will nickel n dime upcharge you to death. Plus there's no consistency either there. A example of that was i brought a 1 card bubble to the counter to canada and it was 1.80 , the next trip same 1 card bubble to canada, $1. Ive also noticed that with US shipping as well. As long as the pkg isnt bigger than 3/4inch a bubble can be sent as a large envelope through the Automated machine where as the counter will usually charge you the parcel rate.

Heh, I sent two bubble mailers out on Friday. One had just two cards, the other 21, and the clerk measured one, then charged the same price for each one ($1.08) as a flat rate, rather than parcel rate. Sweet.
