    Fleer Redemptions

Even though Fleer has been sold to Upper Deck, I thought I would try and send in some higher end ($25+ Beckett value) Fleer Redemptions and just see if they'll (UD) honor them. I will trade for most any redemptions, but I'm not going to give much for them. If anyone has any to get rid of, LMK

    ByrnesFan,

I don't mean this in a bad way but you misunderstood the purchase. All that UD bought were the brand name (the right to use "Fleer" on products) and the Toy Business. All of Fleer's other assets, including cards, licences, etc. have yet to have been bought. The redemptions are being considered by the asignee to the Fleer "estate". I believe the website is www.Fleerabc.com

I called Upper Deck and they sent me a copy of that page via e-mail. They also gave me a phone number to call in regards to redemptions I'd already sent in. They sent me a letter today to fill out and send back. I hope they do something with the ones I sent in. I sent some potential high $ cards. Only reason I was thinking about getting more Fleer redemptions was in case they did decide to redeem, or replace them.

I have a Jameer Nelson E-XL Signing of the Times Century auto redemption that I'd like to redeem. Should I wait until they figure out what to do? Doesn't seem worth getting a notorization for the one card when it might not even pay off.

I would probably wait. I'm hoping UD decides to honor the redemptions. I've sent in several redemptions, including one for an autographed Yuta Tabuse Jersey & a Ben Gordon Ultra Auto. I've thought about getting some more up redemption cards just in case they do.
