    1 screw or magnetic?

OK, I have a two part question for anybody out there and would like to draw on the experience of others.

One, talk me in (our out) of cracking my beckett graded cards and put them into normal holders. I have some decent grades mixed in with most are 'average' grades. Meaning looking at the pop report, I am in the middle of the bell curve. I had them graded because I wanted the protection for my personal collection. I tend to get people handling them who are not accustomed to cards. My question is, are the magnetic/one screw holders as good for protection, i.e drops, spills, etc.?

Second question is, do you prefer the one screw down or magnetic? Which company - Pro mold, Ultra, or BCW? I am starting to get into TTM autos and would put those in one of these holders and forgo the crazy auto authentication cost. I would like the autograph to be secure though. If I convert to one of these, I am going to print out some custom labels to put across the top. Anybody have any examples or ideas?

If they are for your PC and you are concerned withhandling why wouldnt you just leave them in the beckett holders? You already spent the money once, no sense in spending the money again for the holders. Does the grade really matter if they are in the PC? If you decide to do it anyways, I prefer the magnetic holders. I have always used pro-mold but only because my LCS is a dealer for them. I like them because if you do want to get it out for any reason it only takes a second and my wife likes to run off with my screwdrivers and use it as a chisel and a cro bar

If they are graded a decent grade and you already paid for the service then I would just leave them. I don't really have a preference either way, except the fact that magnetics are just easier and quicker. Also, if the card is fairly snug, I'd go with a magnetic just in case it doesn't damage the card with a screw down.

Magnetic for me,as with the screwdowns if you tigten it too much you can ruin the card.

This exactly. Plus it looks much cleaner.
