Is mail really slow everywhere else?

My street has not gotten mail in 3 days now ( Thurs / Mon / Tues ). Like actually nothing .... no bills, no cards, no flyers ..... nothing. The mailman has just not come to our street.

In the 5 days the PO has been back at work, ive received 1 of my total 18 packages coming in.

Its not that my packages arnt coming in ... its that there is NO MAIL AT ALL that has me annoyed / concerned / angry.

Maybe I have the mailman that is a little extra angry about the whole situation ... and has decided just not to work some days.

    Grrrrrr ......

Same with my mail. I guess they're not happy about being forced back to work. Likely it will trickle in until they get their agreement, which I hope they get by the way.

Just because the government forces you back to work it doesn't mean you have to do a good job ;)

Same here. Since mail has continued I think we had 2 days where we got one or two junk flyers and finally yesterday we got actual mail (bills, letters, etc.). However, today there was no mail carrier in site. I work from home, so I have a good eye on the street and mailbox and I'm not the only one at home keeping an eye out either.

    Post Back to Work

Selling via Canada Post since 1971 so I have a bit of experience with postal disruptions.

This year is no different from previous. Regardless of claims to the contrary by management the following situation did not change.

After the workers returned the mail was handled on a last in first out basis.
Items shipped after the return arrived before backlogged mail arrived.

    Yes, it's happening everywhere.

All the stuff that was tied up before the lockout, expect it to be tied up a while longer.
