I say either artifacts(82$~) or something with sick photography and overall style while delivering some hits like Pinnacle.

What year is the best? price, players ratio.

I should stay away from Panini and other stuff?

I'm into just busting right now. Perfect would be box price under $50

Go for O-Pee-Chee; nothing better, in my opinion, for the new hobbyist than busting this product. I've busted four boxes and who knows how many individual packs of the stuff and have pulled some great hits! We're talking rookies like Bobrovsky (two regular, two retro...he's haunting me for some reason), Seguin, Schenn, Lindback, Paajarvi, Fowler (x2), Skinner, Yip (two retro, one retro rainbow), Kadri and a Retro Rainbow Black /100 Burmistrov (as well as a retro rainbow Burmistrov). Also, I've pulled three autos (Schneider, Gilroy and Paille) and two jersey cards, five hits in total, out of four boxes...which is really good for OPC! Between the two hits I pulled out of the box I broke yesterday...I've more than paid for the box (which is priced at a very reasonable $59.99 at my LCS) in book value.

The only stuff you'll find at/under $50 will be Victory and Score. Victory is just base, parallels and rookies...no hits really, although the nice thing about Victory is that it is released early enough that their rookie cards are the first made of that particular rookie class. Score is little better, although their rookies are worth a little more and very, very rarely you will see an auto. Also, their Net Cams insert is really cool, too!

    Hope this helps,

    Dakota

2010-11 UDS1 will give you many potential young gun hits that are good value like Hall, Eberle, Bobrovsky, Schenn, and Subban.
