The last 2 cities I lived in had small card shops that were great places to hang out, open packs, sort through cards, and talk sports. Always a nice way to wind down after a long day or week at work. One had trade nights and both would trade with you if you had something they could use. Also loved playing pack wars.
The internet for the most part around here (Tampa) wiped out the card shows first, now the shops. Trading is fun online but I miss the big shows and the small shops.

The old fashion baseball cards stores where you can hang out with people who knows sports and cards are getting rarer and rarer. I have a card shop that has been here for about 20 years and they have to close down due to competition from the internet. If you have any good card stores around your area, consider yourself lucky.
