    Question? Retail or cheap hobby?

I bought one of those 36 pack retail boxes of prestige 10/11 off Dacardworld and 1 blaster of prestige 09/10 for around 30 bucks. Do you think I should have waited to buy some hobby boxes or would you do the same thing? Just curious to see what people think

i think prestige retail is great! i also think prestige hobby sucks lol. you actualy do rather well with prestige retail. you made the right choice, on average in the 36 pack box you pull 3 gu, 1 auto and 36 rc's not to mention all of the inserts and parralels

If so then those 36 packs are good for the thrill as long as you go in there not expecting the world. Perhaps next time save up for the donruss hobby boxes? You can get some pretty decent stuff from there with 24 packs in a box for about $50.

i've seen some good stuff come out of retail, and i've seen some crappy stuff come out of retail. I'll tell you like this.... any box can POTENTIALLY be a good box. It's all about luck.
Panini is saturated with hits (most of the good ones are redemptions lol). If you're not looking to score something like a Kobe auto (which you may still get) then I think you're going to be fine. You should get some nice numbered, maybe a few gu or an auto. I wouldn't beat myself up over it if I lost and didn't pull a "hit".
In my honest opinion though.... if you're looking for the hits, then I'd save up and buy a nicer product. Yeah, you may be a few months or weeks behind the new product, but... in time you may encounter a price drop which will allow you to buy some more retail blasters or retail wax...... it's all about what you're looking for and what you're willing to put down.
hope it helps and good luck on your purchase!
