Despite my earlier dismissal of Goodwin Champions, I found myself holding a blaster box in the checkout line at a local department store. I had the bug to rip some packs and Champions was the only real option (besides football and basketball - ugh!) I only collect hockey and try to limit myself to PC, but I thought, "Why not. It's better than Topps Magic football!"

I opened the box and immediatley set aside the one fat pack (it was a blaster, after all). I scored some nice hockey players and a few interesting cards. At least I pulled a Lemieux base from the 2nd to last pack. I couldn't believe, opening the fat pack, that I pulled a Lemieux memorabilia card. Not a huge score, but my first ever "pack pulled" Lemieux jersey!

I ended up with:

Lemieux Jersey
Lemieux base
Bobby Orr - figures of Sport
3 SP cards (Rodruigez, Verne and Mix)
2 SSP cards (Wilson and Foster)
and 6 minis (including 3 black Lady Luck minis)

I'm done with Goodwin, but I have to believe that was $19 well spent.
