Did I just get scammed?

I just sold an ipod, I listed it on ebay, craigslist, and here so I'm not sure which one the guy saw but he told me that he'd buy it. He sent me the money through paypal but I can't receive it until I provide paypal with a tracking number. I've never heard of such an option and I don't know where to put it in. The money is not in my paypal, when will I get it and how do I give him the tracking number, or if I got scammed.

I have never heard of this before. Did you send the ipod out yet? If you haven't contact PayPal and ask them what this is all about.

I'd find out if he's inquiring from here, or Craigslist for starters. Then ask him about it to see if he knows anything or to see what he says.

Yes, I did send it. I think I'm going to wait about a day before I contact Paypal to see if I get the money.

that is really strange, Its prob not a scam but yeah like said before, make sure you have safely received the money

Thanks for posting that, I actually havent made a transaction on paypal yet, this is my first.
